Short and sweet

I'm at my sister's in Shah Alam - where I can get free internet access with a drink delivered by two chatty petite girls- my nieces.

Alhamdulillah, I extend my appreciation to the Almighty for always making my journey - regardless where my destination is - ever so smooth. I just never fail to feel that I am blessed.

From the land of the Britons, I had three wonderful friends send us to the airport. The flight from Birmingham - Dubai - KLIA was smooth. The kids behaved and mommy wasn't stressed out.

Reaching home, family awaited us with open arms - and the children were excited to meet their cousins of all ages, and sizes! My, my, it's been almost two years but my nephews and nieces have indeed grown!

Ever since touching down, my children have not really eaten (but their mommy has!!!). They have just refused to have rice! Instead, they enjoy anything other than rice: kuihs, etc. Everyday, they spend most of their time outdoors - checking out the garden, playgrounds, drains (yeah...), to name a few. Already, they're demanding to check out the swimming pools and God knows what else. All I can do is just look at them, stare them right in the eyes and if they still don't get the message, I will ask: how long are we back here for? Gosh, it's just been 3 days!!! Give me room to breathe!

Receiving text messages, phone calls and visits from family and friends have been wonderful. Well, I've always been that sort of person who would get all excited over meeting old acquaintances, or just simply by being in touch with good friends. Alhamdulillah, these three days, family and friends have managed to keep this hollowness filled. I thank you all...

InsyaAllah, there will be more lunch dates and tea dates in the weeks to come, as I also see meeting old friends as a sense of closure to my past. I don't know why, what or how, but it does. Tomorrow, my ex-schoolmates are coming over for a bash - I've only been away for almost two years and the group has not had any gatherings ever! Tsk! Tsk! Then, 5th July will be the Kaypo Klub @ Horay Mouse clan + Edinburgh chummies. 12 years down the lane, and hopefully, we'll be able to catch up with the latest updates...

Bloggers' meet? Yes, but with bloggers, I need to meet them one-to-one. I've already put Azzah8, myheartbleeds, Ruby, Simah, Darling, Raden Galoh and Ms Istanbul on my list! Hehehehe... Oh, but meeting mamasarah after almost a year was like meeting a long-lost-friend. Well, I never lost in touch with her but I did feel lost without her!

Anyway, I'd better go now. Don't worry friends back home (ummi, F manchester, elara, halwafy and all), I'm definitely eating for you guys...(ahaks!). Thank you everyone, for praying (and still doing so) for my sister. She is incredibly strong; going through her days just like any other person. She's not in pain, hence the zest in her daily life. Alhamdulillah...

Aah... my drink has just been refilled by this chatty one. I need to go and chill out with them. Such angels. My children? They're spending a night at my in laws' place. Mommy's going to have peace and quite tonight - perhaps some time to pause and reflect?!
