When I opened the front door this morning, I was overwhelmed by some sense of familiarity. It was neither the icy wind nor the freezing air, but the cloudiness. It's the fog in Britain. It wasn't like the horrible haze in the city of KL. Nope, nothing like that. Your eyes don't hurt walking in it, and NO, you don't so much fall sick like the population in Malaysia do when it's hazy. But one thing that significantly happens when it's foggy is the domestic flights are stalled. Tonight's news showed thousands are stranded at London Heathrow because their flights are cancelled due to the fog. And many worry that they won't be in time for Christmas. Is this for real? Christmas is 4 days away. Surely it can't take that long. Anyhow, the forecast says that the we should expect the fog to be around for another 48 hours.
What are we doing about it? We're staying indoors. I'm not getting squashed in the Christmas crowd or lost in the fog. Let's play UNO...
