When I was a little girl, one of the few things I loved to scan for when reading the New Straits Times was the small 'Love is...' cartoon strips by Kim Casali. Apparently, Kim Casali started drawing these cute and romantic little pictures in the late 1960s for her boyfriend. In the 1970s, they were published and surely enough, gained immediate popularity. I'm sure many would be able to recall them. I somehow remember my teenage sisters having stickers of the cute couple (who were modestly naked) on their school folders or stationery.
I got this from here.
In the 1990s, I began to keep a collection of the snipped comic strips. I guess this proves the extent of point 5 in my previous post. What I liked most about Kim's comic strip is actually the various ways love is defined. In one sentence, a simple yet meaningful message is sent across and warms the heart. Does it warm yours?
