Farewell, dear friend...

Her writings were poignant and witty. She's charming and courteous, elegant and respectful. Most of all, she's colourful.

It saddens me to learn about the passing of dear Ruby Ahmad, an extremely devoted and active old girl from TKC.

If anyone needs a boost in life, then Ruby Ahmad was the person to meet. She's very positive and vibrant, and very very warm.

I will miss the kind advice she never failed to offer and the nonsensical yet uplifting updates we exchanged with one another.

Apparently, she was admitted into Gleneagles Medical Centre for some coughing and passed away there. The story behind it goes that she actually had breast cancer and kept it unknown to the outside world.

Innalillahi wainna ilaihi rojiun....

I miss you already, Ruby!

Alfatihah...

I'm shocked to read this - had to read it again - I don't know her personally but Ive been reading her blog from time to time, esp the easy banter with UL. Al Fatihah utk arwah, semoga diletakkan bersama mereka yg beriman, amin.

Hello D, you and I and all the friends have lost someone very dear to us.
Her family lost a wonderful wife and a fabulous mother.

The promise Ruby and I had to one day meet and have lunch and shoot the breeze in KL will now have to be 'postponed' till we all someday meet again with our Maker.

If not for Ruby, 'Uncle Lee' would have disappeared.
However I am sure Ruby would want us to go on in our lives, to grieve for her but awhile.

I will now grieve no longer, but her memories will be stored in a corner of my heart...and rather find strength in what remains behind.

I will be bringing back an old posting from my previously deleted blog...with Ruby's words, "Lee, lets have a party".
I will post it later. And you will be mentioned.

You be strong D, and lets continue live life as Ruby would want us to.
May she rest in peace.
With best regards, your old friend, Lee.
