Minci posted an entry sharing some kids' definition of love.
I can't agree more with the last one on the list:
“You really shouldn’t say ‘I love you’ unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget” - Jessica - age 8
People forget? They forget that they love another? Well, love needs to be refreshed and always be kept alive. For some people, it isn't easy saying those words (especially with our parents, perhaps) but I think with the new generation, we're better at expressing our emotions. For couples, it should be said out loud - from the beginning of the relationship right to the end. I did.
Action speaks louder than words, indeed that's true. But saying the words out loud strengthens our belief and hopes.
Little D is the one who says 'I love you' the most to me now. He kisses me and hugs me, and gives me his charming smile. And it makes me feel good. So, I've been trying to say it more often with the older ones (though the twins are rather shy...). I think it has an amazing effect too. Love is contagious, isn't it?
Do you feel love? Loving and being loved is the best gift from the Almighty. And the love for Him should precede anything else.
