If I were to list down the names of those who have come to the house to give support, or to the hospital to visit Mr D, I'd probably cause more harm because I might miss out a name or two. Thank you very much...
What I am going to write about today is regarding the visit we got from the GP. When she finally decided to refer Mr D to the specialists at the hospital (20th September), she handed me her personal mobile number, asking me to ring her up later in the evening to inform her of the results. However, as we only went to the hospital the following day, we didn't ring her up that day. Mr D was kept in hospital immediately for them to run tests on him. The following week, amidst the rushes to school, work and hospital, I suddenly remembered that I had to get back to the GP. Unfortunately, Mr D had forgotten where he put the small piece of note with the GP's number on. So I rang the medical centre but she wasn't in for the day.
I only managed to speak to her the following Monday, 1st October. She was surprised and sorry to hear that the symptoms Mr D had were all symptoms of cancer. The following day, right after we had spoken to the oncologist, she walked into the ward with a sorry look. She kept apologizing. She also tried to highlight that she did send Mr D off for a blood test once, for them to identify the cause of the bloodclots (DVT) in his legs. However, the lab said that they couldn't run the test because his bloodcount was low or something.
Mr D and I have no grudges against anyone. We do not blame any party for not being able to detect this much earlier. We personally think that regardless of where we are or with whom we handle, the Almighty knows best. At least one GP came to apologize. Hopefully she will be more careful when dealing with other patients next time. The other GP who attended Mr D in May and June is still oblivious of his ex-patient's current condition.
I wish people would work more sincerely, and not only for money...

Assalamualaikum,
Hazli, I doakan semuga you tabah menghadapi ujian ini.
i'm glad there's some improvement in mr d's health. just keep going and be strong for him.
be strong kak D..
To be frank with you the Dr who came to apologise is quite incompetent and careless in carrying her duty. From the signs and symptoms that Mr D exhibits, even a guy half the world away could have diagnosed DVT. The sudden weight loss and other associated signs and symptoms would have lead to the big C diagnosis much earlier. Sorry to be a sour plum but things should have been better managed from the onset.
