Genies

When we watch cartoons, images of genies from lamps or bottles are very common. Remember Aladdin?
And, I grew up thinking that genies were fictional - thanks to the media! Yet today, my understanding of genies is different. I believe in Allah's creations - humans, animals, devils, angels (malaikat) and genies. They all exist but we must understand their significance. Genies are very much like humans. They marry, they have offsprings and they have religion. The only complication is: they share the same world as us yet we can't see them. So, what do you do when you see the unseen?

I have never been a brave person. Since young, I have always been afraid of 'ghosts' and spirits. Being physically alone is scary but until today, I have never ever experienced any sightings. It can be rather funny because people around me have seen, heard and felt the presence of 'something'.

Last night, before falling asleep, Mr. D suddenly told me to recite some quranic verses. When I asked why, he told me to do it without questioning. I crept closer to him and slowly read the verses. I knew that he must have 'seen' something. The thing is, I don't think I dare ask him today.
