Gathering thoughts

I am currently taking a break from blogging because I think I spend too much time here. Furthermore, it's Easter Hols for the kids and they hog this laptop of mine, fighting for each other's turns at playing games on the Net. The condition I give: if you fight - NO COMPUTER!! Another tactic is to organise activities for the others while one is enjoying his/her turn. Organising activities can be rather exhausting... Storytelling, craft activities to explore the theme offered in the story, writing activities, scientific experiments (oh, dear... you wouldn't want to know or see the details!!), kitchen killers and the lot. The thing is, when I organise such activities to distract them from fighting, the activity would be so appealing to the one at the computer that the game is no longer interesting! Oh dear...

This post was supposed to be a relatively short one but as it is, once my fingers find the keyboard, it just dances away! I promise my next post will be a summary of what we've been up to, including pictures. For now, just to lighten things up:

12 Step Recovery Program For Web Addicts (Bloggers, especially...)
I will have a cup of coffee in the morning and read my PAPER newspaper like I used to, before the Web.
I will eat breakfast with a knife and fork and not with one hand typing.
I will get dressed before noon.
I will make an attempt to clean the house, wash clothes, and plan dinner before even thinking of the Web.
I will sit down and write a letter to those unfortunate few friends and family that are Web-deprived.
I will call someone on the phone who I cannot contact via the Web.
I will read a book... if I still remember how.
I will listen to those around me about their needs and stop telling them to turn the TV down so I can hear the music on the Web.
I will not be tempted during TV commercials to check for email.
I will try and get out of the house at least once a week, if it is necessary or not.
I will remember that my bank is not forgiving if I forget to balance my checkbook because I was too busy on the Web.
Last, but not least, I will remember that I must go to bed sometime... and the Web will always be there tomorrow!

Hm..let see how long this one will last - taking a break from blogging since you've become addicted & you only 'think' you spend too much time here. Heheheh..and do share with us the withdrawal syndromes that's gonna take place.
BTW, my fren tu is the one that you've mentioned. She did emailed me regarding how kind is everyone there - giving her home-cooked meals etc but she's desperately missing the hubby!rad

lol i think there is a way easier than all these program just dissconecet the interent or sell ur pc it's very easy and u will earn money look :D i tried to do all of this programs but i failed cause i was tring to be hurry enaugh to finish to check my blog :D keep on and inshyalah u will sucesses

hehehehe.. me penah jadi addicted to web gak dulu.. errr to chit-chatting i think d correct word..

balik dari opis pun boleh mengadap pc berjam2. last2 i cut my internet line dekat rumah. so now online dari opis je.

chatting dah boleh tinggalkan tapi ym still gak le sekali sekala. cuma nak tinggalkan benda2 online ni terus memang tak boleh.. :)

Haven't done much blog-hopping lately, been very bz with new job and everything. I missed reading sooooo many things at fellow blogger frens' pages. I am soooo addicted to blogging or more like bloghopping.... Thanks for the tips on how to overcome the addictive antics dear...but I know, just like Mama Sarah, I will fail miserably too. Hi D, enjoy your break. Ya..re being a web addict, two of my friends, one I think forgot his wife's name, other one his third daughter.
Canada according to UN survey is THE country with most computer users.....next report? Falling birthrate!
